Project Manager, Technology Delivery - Peacock is seeking a dynamic, and talented Project Manager to join our Global Technology Delivery team to manage the delivery of our end-to-end data needs pertaining to business data enablement and capability delivery. This role will partner with our business, product & developer workstreams to execute upon our technology initiatives enabling our data driven culture.
The Technology Delivery organization is responsible for.... creating a robust, centralized and connected data environment that unleashes the power of data. The platform gathers data across all customer/prospect journeys in near real-time, to allow fast feedback loops across territories; this platform is at the core of being able to make intelligent customer and business decisions.
This position, based in NY (Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite), will report to the Director, Program Management, Technology Delivery on the Peacock side and will work with our Global OTT team based in London and business stakeholders located in NY.

  • Initiate and facilitate the team's delivery of new capabilities and business views while maintaining a culture of continuous improvement
  • Prepare and maintain project management artifacts (project charter, project plan, roadmaps, executive summaries, meeting notes and action items, new effort intake requirements) as needed
  • Monitor and control project governance for compliance (Track and report progress against planned activities; Monitor, mitigate and escalate risks and issues) as needed
  • Lead and partner across delivery workstreams to support stakeholder communications & project status
  • Partner with other PMO and Delivery teams to ensure successful delivery within business expectations and requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to gather complete customer requirements and ensure alignment between internal customer stakeholders and development teams both within and outside of the Peacock team.
  • Manage ambiguity when issues arise related to data or process are required (Assemble, coordinate and direct a broad project team across multiple business functions to agree and deliver coherent and 'fit-for-purpose' solutions in a timely manner)
  • Collaborate with Business stakeholders, Data Analysts, Architects, data engineers, scrum teams, end-to-end test and delivery teams to ensure forward progression of deliverables
  • Manage stakeholder day to day contact/escalation for data impacting changes that require end-to-end project management through the lifecycle
  • Own end-to-end delivery of data product initiatives and releases
  • Take ownership of requirements from inception through to implementation.
  • Manage Data Workstream Backlog - Provide input into Release and Sprint Planning activities in accordance with stakeholder needs.


Qualifications

  • Experience in a previous project management role, focusing on Big Data projects for at least 8 years, is a must.
  • Experience within an agile environment using Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of data delivery and handling practices (data migration, management of data, data modelling, data governance, ELT, and reporting/analytics delivery)
  • Experience with working in an on-shore / off-shore working models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, ability to tailor to all levels of an organization.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the proven ability to coordinate team members across teams and locations.
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and educate at multiple levels of the organization
  • Working Knowledge of various system development lifecycle methodologies
  • Plan and oversee Data related projects to completion
  • Track and report status of projects, including timelines, schedules, risks and resources
  • Identify and anticipate risks and issues
  • Facilitates the resolution of complex problems, by meeting with stakeholders, vendors, and technical staff to identify problems and potential solutions
  • Principles and practices of configuring and implementing data exchanges

  • Highly collaborative, able to build mutually beneficial relationships with delivery teams.
  • Keen understanding of how to consistently "move the ball forward" in varied circumstances.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • You recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.
  • An enthusiasm and aptitude for learning new skills and practices.
  • Have worked with tools like Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Sharepoint etc is a plus.
  • Experience of working previously in Media domain is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of AWS / GCS data platforms, ERP systems, and/or BI technologies a plus
  • Experience with Data Governance and Sensitive Data handling practices is a plus.
  • PMP or Agile certification is a plus
