You ensure quality & food safety in the factory and are responsible for meeting quality targets. You grow the team's capabilities and coordinates departmental activities in accordance with corporate food safety standards, local requirements and ISO standards. In this role, you report directly to the plant quality manager.
How you will contribute
You will be a member of the Upplands Väsby plant Quality team. This position will lead the site quality and food safety improvement project reporting to site quality manager. In this position you will:
- Lead a project to improve Quality and food safety within organization by performing gap assessments, identifying and implementing improvements by working closely together with existing plant quality, production and support functions.
- Support to establish and improve site quality systems and activities to ensure compliance with MDLZ Quality Policies & Business KPI's Support site HACCP & Food Safety program in line with MDLZ, ISO, FSSC 22000 and legislative requirements.
- Develop & support the maintenance of all aspects of the Quality & Food Safety Management System.
- Lead GMP Audits and assess their effectiveness and implement improvements.
- Drive improvements to all aspects of operational Quality Management through day to day non-conformance management, line auditing, line coaching and plant reviews with focus on GMP and foreign material management.
- Facilitate & coach compliance to Quality & Food Safety record keeping, retention & revision.
- Define & lead the food safety training, capability building and coaching requirements for the site.
- Support the process to remove risks that could/would lead to consumer harm, regulatory adverse comment and or damage to the business reputation.
- Support the site Quality Manager in the development of a capital investment plan to improve compliance and food safety.
- Support and lead Quality engagement programs
- Support new product introduction & site change activity to provide a food safety input into the change management process.
What you will bring
- Relevant experience (operations, quality and/or R&D or continues improvements)
- Project management and managing multiple priorities
- Food safety, ingredient and package technology and training and coaching technical material
- Communicating effectively and leading cross-functional teams
- Statistical processes and problem-solving techniques
- Working with external manufacturing suppliers to ensure compliance to our policies and procedures and technical vendors to support compliance
- Working with customers on quality related issues
- Fluent in English
