ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager with proven expertise in managing Murex implementation projects. The successful candidate will lead large-scale projects focused on the deployment, customization, and integration of the Murex trading and risk management platform within financial institutions. This role demands a combination of deep project management experience, strong financial domain knowledge, and hands-on involvement with Murex implementation processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, execute, and oversee Murex implementation projects from initiation to go-live, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including clients, business users, and IT teams, to define project goals, align expectations, and provide regular updates.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of developers, testers, business analysts, and third-party vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and timely delivery of milestones.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage dependencies, and allocate resources effectively to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Identify, document, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, escalating critical matters when necessary.
- Work with technical teams to tailor the Murex platform to the client’s requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and integration with existing systems.
- Oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and SIT (System Integration Testing), ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of requirements, workflows, and processes, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure a seamless transition to BAU (Business-as-Usual) teams by facilitating knowledge transfer, training sessions, and post-go-live support.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to Murex implementation.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects within the trading, risk management, or capital markets domain.
- Strong understanding of Murex modules, including Front Office, Risk Management, and Back Office.
- Familiarity with Murex workflows, data integration, and trade lifecycle management.
- Awareness of technical integration points such as APIs, databases, and middleware.
- Certification in project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile).
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall project delivery approaches.
- Strong risk assessment, resource planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid understanding of financial instruments (e.g., derivatives, fixed income) and risk management processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance within capital markets (e.g., Basel III, MiFID II).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with senior stakeholders and drive alignment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
