Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Project Technical Manager for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisitions and sustainment of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system, known as Minuteman III (MMIII).
This position will directly support the MMIII Program Integration Office (PIO). The PIO is a strategic initiative, established in response to the increasing complexity and scale of MMIII projects and the need for a more integrated approach to align them with our overarching organizational goals. The PIO marks a significant shift in how project management is conceptualized and executed in our organization. It represents our commitment to strategic alignment of acquisition and sustainment programs, operational efficiency in the MMIII Systems Program Office (SPO), and proactive risk management across the ICBM enterprise.
This position will directly support the MMIII SPO Deputy Director. Duties will include providing expert program management advice and support to the government program leaders and engineers regarding all aspects throughout the acquisition life cycle. This position will directly handle future/current program and project schedules, assist with budget management and plan milestone events for each assigned project. This position will also be expected to prepare and deliver regular Program Management Review (PMR) briefs on the status of each assigned project.
Specifically, this BAE Systems team member will be responsible for supporting the government customer in the creation, review, and assessment of all program documentation, architecture needs, and future systems acquisition proposals in order to meet acquisition requirements, risk mitigation and schedule timelines. This team member will assist in the day-to-day PIO operations including program status tracking, meeting support, and schedule tracking. The position interacts with government customer staff and senior leaders at program, Division and SPO Director levels. This team member will also coordinate and integrate actions with other project managers, engineers, logisticians, testers, and external agencies.
This is a special opportunity to join a high-performing team within a large defense company with an extraordinary, positive culture and mission focus. In this position, you will provide direct support to a national security critical weapon system throughout engineering development, deployment and sustainment. You will become a trusted mission partner to the innovative, Digital Engineering-driven Air Force organization that will design, build, test, transition, and sustain the world's safest, most secure, and effective land-based nuclear deterrent. Do not miss this!
