Position Description
The primary objective of this role is to successfully lead the Futures Clearing project. This includes acquiring memberships from the key derivatives exchanges/clearing houses based in the UK/EU, as well as implementing front-office, middle/back-office systems to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire project, ensuring its successful execution, and delivering the desired outcomes within the defined timelines and budget.
Key Areas of Responsibilities

Lead the Futures Clearing project, from initiation to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met.

Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and document project requirements, ensuring alignment with CLSA UK's business objectives.

Establish and nurture robust relationships with key derivatives exchanges, clearing houses, system vendors and other external stakeholders based in the UK/EU, facilitating the process of obtaining memberships and launching front/middle/back-office systems.

Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all regulatory requirements are met during the project implementation process.

Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying potential obstacles and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.

Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and provide regular status updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment.

Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future projects.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business administration) or equivalent practical experience.

Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the financial services industry, with experience on clearing and derivatives.

Strong knowledge of UK/Europe based derivatives exchanges and clearing houses, including their membership requirements and processes.

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliver results within defined timelines and budget.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential project risks and issues.

Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities effectively.
