We are looking for a French speaking Project Manager to join our Project Management team in Athens. Holding this position in our organization you will be responsible and accountable to manage a portfolio of complex projects with a focus on banking-related systems and collections solutions mainly in the EMEA region adhering to the highest quality standards and global principles for project management.
Accountable to define and manage the project scope along with continuous alignment with our business objectives and strategic roadmap. Responsible to manage complexity of requirements along with inherent risks across different business areas and domains with strong technical interdependencies and tight deadlines. Defines and controls the project plan and make recommendations by applying scheduling and risk management technics when necessary. Sets the boundaries of the project and ensures alignment of all projects under his/her supervision with standards and project management methodology, including compliance with regulations where applicable. Leads an effective project team by providing guidance and mentorship at all levels of engagement. Establishes trustworthy relationships and maintains communication with stakeholders at various levels in an ethical and transparent way.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage software delivery projects within the banking and collections domains, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget;
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including product owners, business analysts, developers, and clients to gather requirements and set project goals;
- Align with our strategic business and organizational objectives;
- Define scope and expected deliverables, align stakeholders and influence decision processes, determine success metrics, and track against milestones;
- Monitor risks proactively, drive prioritization, balance business needs versus constraints and take mitigation actions and contingency planning;
- Utilize both Agile and Waterfall methodologies depending on project requirements to ensure successful delivery.
- Mentor and guide project teams, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure successful project execution and high team performance;
- Develop effective presentations and project update materials to communicate project status to key stakeholders (C level & Technical resources);
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance project delivery, team productivity, and client satisfaction;
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
To be considered you must have:
- A very good educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering;
- At least 5 years of experience managing software delivery projects, with a proven track record in the banking, fintech, or collections industry;
- A recognized Project Management certification (PMP, Agile, PRINCE2) is highly preferred;
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle and project management tools. Experience with banking platforms and collections solutions is highly preferred;
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills, able to direct workstreams across large multi-faceted project teams;
- Excellent client facing, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
- Excellent teamwork skills to coordinate virtual teams;
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while being flexible and responding to change;
- Firm command of the English and French language and excellent verbal and written communication skills is required;
- Knowledge of additional German or Italian language would be highly considered.
