Transformation is responsible managing and delivering change and technology investment for NN Life Japan. We provide resource, project, and portfolio management services, process’ and governance to effectively deliver change for NN life Japan. We leverage a hybrid waterfall and agile methodologies to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and business.
This role is focused on building and leading a strong project management with the right people, skills, process’ and resources to delivery our project portfolio.
【Position Summary/ 役職概要】
The Head of Project Management will be responsible for leading a team of Project Managers to plan, execute and deliver the projects in NNLJ. You will support ongoing governance and methodology changes to execute projects within NNLJ. This person will be responsible for the managing portfolio of projects and supporting the Project Managers success’.
This position will work closely with the other Transformation & Technology teams, as well as C-level executives and other divisions involved in delivering change to support the successful delivery of projects.
The successful candidate will have solid project management and leadership skills to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be passionate about coaching and developing a high performing team.
【Key Accountabilities/ 主な責務】

You will be responsible for leading the corporate project management team at NNLJ. Including recruitment, development and coaching of project management capabilities at NNLJ project management talent.

Provide training and guidance to other teams across the organization that join projects in a supporting role to lift the overall organizations project management maturity level

Ensure that appropriate performance management and backup planning is in place

Develop NNLJs project management methodologies and enforces project standards to deliver projects on time, budget and scope to a high level of quality.

You will be responsible for overseeing the portfolio projects managed by your team.

You will act as Senior Supplier on projects. Ensuring that projects are delivered in a cost effective and financially sustainable manner.

Minimizes exposure and risk on projects through maintaining proper oversight of the project team’s adherence to project management practices.

Drives a high level of customer satisfaction through successful project delivery to a high quality and building good relationships
【Skills, Knowledge, Experience/ 技術、知識、経験】

5 plus years of solid project management and leadership experience

Demonstrated team management, coaching and development experience.

Comfortable managing both senior and junior members.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practice. The ability to develop and introduce innovations to project management.

Comfortable (or open to learn) managing portfolio of projects covering different domains.

Solid understanding of project finances.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making and strategic project thinking.

Highly detail oriented and able to work autonomously.

Good meeting, presentation and workshop facilitation skills

Fluent Japanese and Business English

Experience in the Insurance/Finance industries nice to have
