Leidos has an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer to work on the Cargo Mission Contract (CMC). In this position the employee will work on projects involving RFID systems and the development and certification of spaceflight hardware in support of NASA's Johnson Space Center International Space Station (ISS), Orion, Human Landing System (HLS), Gateway, and EVA & Human Surface Mobility (EHP) Programs. This role also can support Leidos Commercial work for hardware that will fly on these vehicles. The CMC team works with commercial software such as IBM Maximo, Microsoft (MS) Project, and MS SharePoint, in addition to CMC custom software.  Support for tests and other activities may be required outside of normal working hours.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the development of an end-to-end RFID inventory management system
  • Support hardware development projects to certify, configure, and deliver new hardware for spaceflight
  • Create and maintain project resource-loaded schedules in MS Project Professional
  • Develop basis-of-estimates (BOEs) for new on-contract growth
  • Author and monitor work orders, purchase requests, non-conformance reports, internal/external customer presentations, designs, and trade studies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical degree
  • Strong technical background in RFID systems and hardware development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in RFID project management and testing
  • Experience using MS Project, MS SharePoint, and MS Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working with multi-discipline teams and customers

Pay Range:Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
