About This Role:
Crusoe Energy is seeking a driven and experienced Project Engineer to join our expanding Project Engineering team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our innovative power generation projects, focusing on the electrical and mechanical systems that drive our large-scale data centers and digital flare mitigation projects. You will be involved in all aspects of these projects, from the initial planning and design phases to execution and commissioning. Your expertise in power generation technologies and mechanical engineering principles will ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of power to our data centers, directly supporting our company's mission of reducing emissions and maximizing energy efficiency. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and make a real difference in the energy industry.
What You’ll Be Working On:

Project Development & Execution: Support the Project Engineering team in developing and executing power generation projects from concept to commissioning.

Power Generation System Design: Contribute to the design and specification of power generation systems, including generators, switchgear, transformers, and auxiliary systems.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, engineering firms, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.

Engineering Analysis: Perform detailed calculations and analyses related to power systems, including load flow studies and short circuit analysis.

Documentation & Review: Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Project Management: Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Risk Management: Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.

Site Supervision: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Commissioning & Testing: Support the commissioning and testing of power generation systems to ensure optimal operation and performance.

Technology & Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in power generation to drive innovation and efficiency.

Engineering Standards: Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering standards and procedures for power generation projects.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Power Generation Experience: 3+ years of experience in power generation project engineering, with a focus on large-scale projects.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of power generation technologies, including diesel generators, natural gas generators, and renewable energy sources.

Industry Standards: Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI).

Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.

Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $130,000 - $155,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
