Together, we are responsible for the full lifecycle of liquid projects in Nordic region from sales, project execution and aftermarket.
At our office in Skanderborg, you will join our project execution team with dedicated colleagues.

Responsibilities / Tasks

As our new Project Engineer, your main responsibility will be to execute our projects from order to handover, as well as occasional engagement in the pre-project/proposal stage. For some projects, you might have a combined project manager/project engineer role.

Specifically, you will:

  • Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), mass balances, process and instrumentation diagrams for hygienic food designs
  • Develop P&IDs, equipment sizing and specifications, services consumptions, tank design, and 3D layout optimisation for hygienic food designs
  • Review 3D model designs typical done by technical designer
  • Oversee procurement, collaborating with domestic and international suppliers
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to develop project schedules and resource planning
  • Supervise and, to some extent, participate in process commissioning at customer sites

Some travel activities in Nordic region can be expected for customer meetings, supplier visits, and customer site activities.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Furthermore, we imagine that you bring:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Dairy Engineering, or equivalent
  • Solid experience from a relevant/similar position
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a project engineer within food and dairy applications
  • Preferably some experience in commissioning liquid processing systems
  • Strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • A location within a reasonable distance of GEA's Skanderborg office in Denmark
