ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems that meet market demand. This includes providing guidance to engineering teams, participating in design review meetings, submittal reviews, and other pertinent development activities.
- Coordinate and direct electrical engineering projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Evaluate existing electrical infrastructure to identify operational, design, and efficiency improvements and establish budgets related to those improvements.
Assist Site Development teams with:
- Review and approve submittal related to new construction projects and upgrades.
- Provide technical guidance to third party contractors and engineers related to new construction projects and upgrades.
- Review and approve all commissioning reports prior to system acceptance and being placed in service.
Assist Operations teams with the following:
- Establish best practices related to operational means and methods.
- Establish standards for maintenance practices, and training for critical and non-critical electrical systems.
- Evaluate maintenance practices to ensure standards are being met.
- Develop and where appropriate, deliver technical training to staff for operation and maintenance of critical and non-critical electrical systems.
Emergency Response and Event Analysis:
- Respond and support operational and emergency situations as necessary.
- Lead and manage root cause analysis, Event Reports, Post Problem Review, and event calls and meetings for critical electrical systems as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job effectively, the successful candidate must have the following attributes:
- Bachelor Degree in an Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of practical management experience in an electrical engineering field in pharmaceutical industry.
- Candidate must have a proven history which displays strong leadership skills, deep practical engineering knowledge, and a proven track record for timely project delivery, project management, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
- Must be a capable, proven team player that both foster and operates well within internal and external team environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills (English and Spanish).
Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required.
