About the Role:

The Project Engineer - Pre Fab Design & Engineering will be responsible for designing and coordinating modular prefabricated systems to support Crusoe.ai’s cutting-edge data center and infrastructure projects. This role combines engineering expertise with project management, focusing on developing cost-effective, sustainable, and innovative prefabricated solutions. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to drive the successful execution of modular design and implementation strategies.

A Day In The Life:

  • Design and develop prefabricated modular systems for Crusoe’s data center and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with technical and operational requirements

  • Create detailed drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation using CAD and other design tools

  • Collaborate with internal project managers, architects, and construction teams to integrate prefabricated solutions seamlessly into overall project designs

  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with design specifications

  • Develop prefabricated solutions that prioritize energy efficiency, cost savings, and environmental sustainability

  • Optimize designs for manufacturing and assembly to reduce waste and enhance scalability

  • Oversee the fabrication and testing of modular components to ensure adherence to Crusoe’s quality standards and regulatory compliance

  • Identify and resolve technical challenges during the design, fabrication, or installation phases

  • Research and integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance Crusoe’s prefabrication and engineering capabilities

  • Continuously improve processes to maximize the efficiency and scalability of prefabricated designs

You Will Thrive In This Role If You Have:

  • Professional experience in modular prefabrication, data center engineering, or infrastructure design

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, PE license) is a plus

  • 5+ years of experience in modular prefabrication, data center engineering, or infrastructure design

  • Proven experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks

  • Strong knowledge of modular prefabrication techniques, design principles, and manufacturing processes

  • Proficiency in construction methodologies and material science relevant to prefabricated systems

  • Understanding of sustainability and energy efficiency standards

  • Experience managing engineering projects, including coordinating with multiple stakeholders and meeting deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and address design challenges with innovative, practical solutions

  • Eagerness to explore new technologies and trends in modular prefabrication and data center design

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex designs and concepts clearly

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of $155,000 - $165,000 base salary. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
