Job Description
Mission
We are looking for an intermediate-level project engineer to join our team of transportation specialists and to carry out road engineering design and supervision, mainly for the Ministry of Transport (MTQ).
such as the reconstruction and development of interchanges, north of Pierre-Laporte bridge and Quebec city, the widening of Highway 20 in Lévis, the redevelopment of Route 389 km, the independent certifier mandate for the new bridge on Île-d’Orléans, the relocation of Highway 138 at Pointe-aux-Anglais and the extension of Highway 73 in Saint-Georges de Beauce.
We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work from home and from our Quebec City office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design road engineering projects (geometry, profile, pavement structure, earthworks and drainage) and prepare preliminary studies, plans and specifications
- Plan and design work phasing and traffic management plans, and provide for traffic management mitigation measures
- Calculate quantities of materials required and prepare cost estimates for construction work
- Carry out studies and write technical reports
- Supervise work and coordinate follow-up (shop drawings, change notices, etc.).
- Participate in coordination meetings with all stakeholders
- Help coordinate the various sectors involved in projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum of three years’ experience in Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of MTQ standards (an asset)
- Experience with AutoCAD and BDP software (an asset)
- Fluency in spoken and written French
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
