Your Role
We are seeking a Project Design Technology Manager to join our London office. In this role, you are the technology heartbeat of the project(s) you are on. A critical multifaceted role that provides technical leadership, strategic value and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space enabling the team(s) you support and aligning with project and client priorities / requirements.
You will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization and digital workflows / platforms creation and implementation in partnership with your fellow project members and in collaboration with the Regional Design Technology Team. Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor to delivering the highest value and best outcomes to our clients.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development of Design Technology strategy and workflows on your projects
- Establish, Implement and ensure adherence to the UK BIM Framework Standards – BS EN ISO 19650-1&2, BS 8541-1:2012, including Uniclass 2015 & COBie delivery
- Develop an Information Exchange and Design Collaboration Strategy [ Internal / External ]
- Monitor project digital data metrics and support the team in accordance to performance
- Identify, resolve and coach project team members on Model(s) Performances
- Establish, communicate, and interpret changes in best practices and protocols
- Align Design Technology strategy / priorities of each project with client / project specific needs
- Develop and Implement multi-authoring platform solutions to support project needs
- Partner and collaborate with all DT peers at the studio, office, region and firm levels
- Represent the project team with all of our partners: design, engineering and construction firms
- Identify workflows, tools, and efficiencies that will bring value-proposition to our projects
- Research innovative solutions and co-create with partners continuously in support of projects
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction and/or equivalent training and experience in the AEC / Building Industry
- Extensive experience in Design Technology support / BIM Management Roles
- Documented experience on complex projects leading Design Technology Scope
- Expert knowledge in developing and overseeing BIM, Design and Construction Coordination
- Expert knowledge in the UK BIM Framework BS EN ISO 19650-1&2 Standards Implementation including Uniclass 2015 & COBie delivery
- Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture
- Expert knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, BIM 360 Glue
- Expert knowledge of Digital Integration / Collaboration Platforms like BIM-360 Ecosystem
- Expert knowledge of BIM360 Document Management & Collaboration
- Advanced knowledge of Dynamo is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of VU City is preferred
- Familiarity with design applications such as Rhino, Grasshopper, V-Ray, 3DS Max, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, etc. is a big plus
- Articulate communicator, able to convey design technology concepts to all levels of design, consultants and clients
- Punctual, able to adhere to deadlines, have a strong work ethic and superb organizational skills
- Creative thinker, innovative and able to win the hearts / minds of stakeholders to drive change-management in the project design cycle
