Project Analyst

Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting our business and project management efforts by performing tasks across initiating, organizing, integrating, planning, managing, and completing program/project delivery. In doing so, you will analyze and manage a large schedule, leveraging Power Query, Power Pivot, and Excel for data analysis. Project Analysts will ensure project success by providing useful insights to stakeholders daily, aligning business functions and increasing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

• Track progress to financial, schedule, technical and/or new business performance objectives. May support new business development activities and participate in developing strategic and financial plans as required.
• Extract and analyze cost and schedule data on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will assist in maintenance of comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard scheduling tools.
• Utilize advanced features of Power Query and Excel to automate and analyze project data, generate approachable reports, and provide insights to project stakeholders.
• Assist with program controls to monitor project performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project data, track milestones, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Provide updates and standardized reports, typically on a weekly basis, to project stakeholders and the customer on project status, milestones, and KPIs.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of business experience in an analytical function
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data manipulation techniques
• Experience with Power Query and other data ingestion/analysis tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and appetite for success
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek OpenPlan
• Experience using Python
• Previous exposure to machine learning and modeling
• Shipyard or DoD experience

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 - $109010
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
