Role Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to join our AT&C Projects and Portfolio team in Derby. In role, you will be accountable for the execution of key projects that shape the future capability and capacity of AT&C, at a time where we are growing the business to meet our future demand. Additionally, you will provide support to the Programme Executive to ensure the whole portfolio of Major Projects and committed deliverables are executed flawlessly and in line with best practise.
This is a key management role within the AT&C MBU, with great visibility among the Civil Manufacturing Operations leadership team and the wider organisation.

Individuals are encouraged to apply who possess strong leadership characteristics, high energy and drive, good influencing skills, and a track record of delivery. Experience in Infrastructure or other significant capital expenditure projects as well as core PM competencies (Risk, Cost / Budget, P6) would be advantageous but not essential.

Key Accountabilities:
- Delivery of major projects, programmes and portfolios to execute the company strategy, business case and business plans
- Drive adherence to established PM processes and Governance
- Influence, manage and communicate with key programme stakeholders' (internal and external)
- Monitor, control and manage overall programme performance
- Support the programme exec to drive execution across the portfolio of projects (planning quality, milestone adherence, capital spend forecasting and accounting, risk management etc) and ensure best practices are deployed and developed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information with individuals at all levels within the organisation.
- Proven experience in core PM competencies, Inc. Risk, Cost, Planning (P6) and financial forecasting and benefits management.
- Ability to demonstrate management of programmes / projects of increasing complexity.
- Comfortable with dealing with ambiguity and complex environments
- Exposure to non-core programme management roles such as purchasing, commercial, engineering management etc would be an advantage.
- Member of a professional body and working towards APM Chartership qualification or equivalent
The professional level and the salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
