We are seeking an experienced Programmatic Solutions Specialist to oversee and assist in Newsweek’s supply-side management and support sellers in private marketplace (PMP) operations. This hybrid role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen to optimize programmatic delivery, identify new opportunities, and support sellers in driving programmatic growth.
Key Responsibilities
Supply-Side Platform Yield Management
- Manage and optimize existing SSPs for performance while continuously identifying and onboarding new SSP partnerships.
- Manage the configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization of SSPs to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive strategies to improve programmatic yield, fill rates, and CPMs, ensuring inventory maximization.
- Address and resolve technical challenges to enhance performance and achieve campaign objectives.
- Provide technical assistance to internal teams to maintain and improve supply-side operations.
- Develop reporting dashboards to track key performance metrics, such as revenue, CPM, fill rates, and win rates.
PMP Sales Support
- Act as a trusted programmatic consultant for sellers in-market, providing pre-sales support by presenting technical capabilities, programmatic strategies, and deal structures to potential clients or partners.
- Uncover new PMP opportunities for sellers to win, and implement optimization strategies to expand existing deals.
- Lead PMP technical setup and integration work to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for programmatic technology questions, escalations, and complex inquiries.
- Support sellers in leveraging advanced targeting tools to enhance audience reach and campaign outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, SSP management, PMP operations, or technical account management.
- Expertise in SSPs, DSPs, and the programmatic ecosystem, with a proven track record in yield and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical challenges into actionable solutions.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external sellers.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with SSPs and PMP deal execution.
- Familiarity with programmatic technologies, such as OpenRTB, header bidding, and targeting platforms.
- Data analysis experience, including working with tools like Excel, SQL, or Python, to identify insights and drive improvements.
