Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage business unit projects and programs
• Work with department leads to ensure adequate staffing and resource management
• Deliver all program requirements and manage projects on-schedule and on-budget
• Be the primary customer Point of Contact for the business
• Assist with contract negotiations and issues and assist with contract modifications as required
• Monitors program budget and schedule and reports issues in advance of problems to Senior level executives

Education and Experience:

• Masters Degree in a Technical Field focused on Engineering or Technology
• Five (5) plus years’ experience in running programs or a business.
• Prior experience in the technology community

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Candidates should have a background in project / program management with demonstrated experience managing multiple projects
• Experience managing projects and programs using industry standard tools
• Good presentation skills, ability to create and present complex issues in a simple to understand manner
• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn and understand complex technical requirements
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office products

Physical demands:

• Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
• Prolonged periods of time on computer
• Considerable periods of standing or walking throughout the facility to interface with other associates

Work Environment:

• Professional office environment
• This position requires periods of working behind a desk, performing tasks on computer
• Occasional work in manufacturing area internal or during supplier visits
• Occasional travel throughout the marine technology marketplace to support the various programs will be required
