Introduction
The Program Manager Technology Platform is a technical leadership role managing one or more customers and their products within the Fab1 Technology Platform Teams. The person in charge has responsibility for customer success and is the key interface to the customer technical team. This includes the alignment and driving of actions to resolve technical issues across multiple organizations within GF as well as with the customer(s). Internally, he/she works closely with the Platform Process Integration (PI) Leads and Platform Technology/Product Owners (TO/PO), as well as Customer Quality and Customer Engineering representatives (TRIPOD). He/she reports to the PI Platform Senior Manager/Deputy Director and interacts closely with several GlobalFoundries’ organizations like Design Enablement, Manufacturing, Yield Engineering, Planning, Quality, Customer Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
Your Job
- Owns the success of the customer and their product line from pre-tapeout to prototyping to volume production.
- Identifies risks/problems and initiates actions to address them effectively through both verbal and written communication and escalations as required.
- Initiates, leads, and/or controls the progress of teams to resolve/fix customer or product-specific issues (e.g., design weaknesses, yield issues, etc.).
- Organizes reporting for customer or internal meetings, follows up on customer action items, and is part of the customer communication channel.
- Ensures effective communication between all levels of the organization and towards customers.
- Travels regularly to customer sites for engineering or business reviews or in case of urgent matters.
- Ensures that project management best practices and lessons learned are communicated to the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Integration in either 40/55nm and/or 28 and/or 22nm.
- Project Manager Certification is required.
- Experience in FDSOI Technologies is required.
- Experience in MRAM or RRAM Technologies is required.
- Practical experience in a Wafer Fab Process Engineering Module is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with customers from various cultural, geographical, and business environments.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully reach solutions to technical issues under time and/or customer pressure.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams.
- Well-structured working style and conclusive presentation skills.
- Fluency in English – written and verbal; proficiency in German is an advantage.
