Position Summary:

The Program Manager, Software Development will ensure the successful execution of a portfolio of projects, transform development practices, and pursue new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Ownership and Execution: Provide business ownership and execution responsibility for a portfolio of related software development projects, transitioning advanced signal and image processing algorithms into demonstrable software products, pursuant to operational implementation within advanced remote sensing systems.
  • Program Oversight: Provide oversight to ensure fulfillment of project scope while adhering to cost and schedule constraints.
  • DevOps Methodology Implementations: Work with development teams to implement appropriate, efficient DevOps practices and tools.
  • Technical Expert Collaboration: Collaborate with technical experts while leading the identification and capture of new software development opportunities to expand your portfolio.

  • Location: On-site
  • Travel Requirements: Moderate 20-50%
  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science +10 years of relevant professional experience or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science Brief +5years of relevant.
  • Project Management Experience: Demonstrated relevant and successful experience as a project manager in the development of deliverable software products.
  • Business Capture Participation: Participation in R&D business capture through solution development, customer engagement, and proposal content preparation.
  • MATLAB Experience: Experience working with MATLAB engineering analysis code and formal code development in C++.
  • Software Development Experience: Experience with agile software development methods and DevOps processes and tools
  • Technical Communication Skills: Excellence in oral and written technical communication.

Desired:

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI
  • Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Program Language Proficiency: Proficiency in C++ or Python programming languages
  • Advanced Software Development Experience: Experience with software development that efficiently implemented advanced algorithms, via high-performance scientific computing and/or parallel processing technologies.
  • Professional Certification: Professional certification in areas of relevance to software development management and processes (e.g., Agile methodology, Project Management Professional - PMP)
