Position OverviewNE-MM business unit provides services to Bosch consumer and industry business units (BBE/I/G and Healthcare) and Global customers. Unit provides robust engineering capabilities and strong technology horizontals like Data and AI, Applications lifecycle, Robotics and Value streams.We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in driving Robotics projects. The ideal candidate will lead complex robotics initiatives from inception to delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, product development, and operations. The individual should demonstrate exceptional leadership, technical understanding of robotics, and the ability to deliver projects within scope, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
Lead and manage end-to-end robotics programs, from concept development to production deployment.
Define program goals, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
Foster collaboration among engineering, software development, and hardware integration teams.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop comprehensive project plans, aligning with organizational goals and industry trends.
Prioritize initiatives based on business impact and technological feasibility.
Ensure risk assessment, mitigation planning, and contingency strategies are in place.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, customers, and partners.
Provide regular updates on program status, challenges, and achievements.
Budgeting & Resource Allocation
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation for hardware, software, and personnel.
Work with procurement teams for vendor management and robotic system acquisition.
Technical Oversight
Understand and guide teams in areas like SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), sensor integration, and robotic navigation.
Ensure that design and development align with technical requirements and industry standards.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Responsible for QCD of all topics of this Robotics Unit
Track program performance using KPIs and ensure timely identification and resolution of issues.
Create detailed project documentation, reports, and presentations for various stakeholders.Success Criteria
Successful delivery of robotics programs on time, within scope, and budget.
Measurable improvement in operational efficiency or product performance through robotics solutions.
Positive feedback from stakeholders regarding program execution and outcomes.
Establishment of robust processes for managing complex robotics projects.Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
12+ years of experience in program/project management, with 4+ years in robotics or automation industries.
Proven track record of managing end-to-end robotics projects, including hardware and software integration.
Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of robotics systems, including SLAM, AI/ML integration, and sensor technologies.
Experience with simulation and validation tools for robotics development.
AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots): Navigation algorithms (SLAM, LiDAR, vision-based), obstacle avoidance, fleet management systems, payload handling, and integration with existing infrastructure.
Robotic Arms: Kinematics, dynamics, control systems (PID, torque control), end-effectors, grippers, vision systems for object recognition and manipulation, and integration with automation systems.
Agriculture Robotics: Autonomous tractors, drones for crop monitoring and spraying, robotic harvesters, soil analysis, and integration with agricultural management software.
Industry Standards and Regulations: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to robotics, such as ISO 13482 for medical robots or ANSI/RIA R15.06 for industrial robots.
Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Knowledge of data analytics and customer insights.Key Attributes
