Program Manager - Program Excellence - PMO

Job Description
The Program Excellence team provides strategic and thought leadership to Project, Program, and Portfolio Management for the Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business area with annual sales of approximately $3B and over 200 program managers. As a Program Manager of Program Excellence, this role will support the Project Management capability for CMS and improve Program Management Processes, Tools, and Measures. The role will report to the Director of Program Excellence.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely (averaging 3 days onsite weekly).
For this position, we will consider someone working out of any one of the major Combat Mission Systems locations: York PA, Sterling Heights MI, Louisville KY, or Minneapolis MN.
This role includes the following responsibilities:

• Partner with the CMS program manager community to provide program management support and assist with program planning and execution
• Provide maintenance to existing program management processes and best practices to meet the needs of the business and to improve and streamline all facets of program management
• Provide support to the deployment of tool sets to automate and/or error proof Program Management administrative tasks
• Collaborate with functions to support improvements to our business processes and tools
• Track progress of performance objectives
• Support continuous improvement of CMS' Integrated Program Management/Business Management System processes
• Review and analyze Program Management performance trends against industry benchmarks
• Support cross-sector and BAE Systems, Inc. program management initiatives
• Support CMS Program Management in Lifecycle Management
• Support the Program Management function for internal/external audits as needed

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience
• Experience in Program Management, including theories, best practices, and tools
• Experience in Cross-functional Team environments
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis or Problem Solving
• Experience in Change Management or Continuous Improvement
• Ability to support strategic plans to achieve performance goals
• Ability to be agile and manage changing expectations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong presentation skills

• Master's Degree
• PM Certification
• Expertise in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
• Experience in Defense Contracting
• Experience in Budgeting and Costing
• Experience in Program Design/Development
• Experience in Stage Gate and Design Reviews
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventative Actions
• Experience in Change Management across different functions

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
