The Role
At Metropolis, we are shaping the future of mobility, AI, and biometrics through innovative technology and social impact. As the Strategic Operations Lead, Government Relations, you will be a key partner to the Vice President of Government Relations, supporting team operations and driving the execution of critical government relations initiatives. Your role will focus on streamlining operations, organizing events, and collaborating across departments to support Metropolis' mission and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Act as the right hand to the VP of Government Relations, providing strategic support and partnership to drive key initiatives, act as a trusted advisor, and ensure seamless execution of high-priority projects.
- Manage team documents, presentations, and collateral.
- Organize schedules, meetings, and event logistics.
- Prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and assist in preparing materials for external meetings.
- Plan and execute government relations-related events, managing logistics and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee budget management, track expenses, manage financial forecasts, and assist with reporting.
- Monitor national and state-level legislation, identify relevant bills, and support state-specific policy campaigns.
- Contribute to social impact efforts and collaborate with internal teams to support cross-department initiatives.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in administrative or operations support, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in tracking legislation, analyzing bills, and using tracking tools.
- Experience in event planning and execution.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and a willingness to learn new tools.
- Passion for the intersection of public policy, technology, and social impact.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in government relations or policy advocacy.
- Familiarity with mobility, AI, or machine learning sectors is a plus.
When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $105,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
