The candidate will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to construction management, quality assurance, project controls, design/build, architecture and engineering, space management, facilities management, real estate, and leasing of complex construction projects. This role requires 10+ years of experience in construction management on projects for new construction, mechanical systems, renovations, upgrades or new fit-outs. Responsibilities and Duties
- Act as main point of contact on site for the client, lead all team personnel and manage client needs and expectations on a daily basis.
- Manage and oversee the coordination and completion of all facilities management tasks as assigned by the client.
- Lead coordination associated with office moves including telephones, IT, connectivity, furniture, and other office requirements.
- Develop and propose schedules for client review.
- Assign tasks to contract employees for execution. Monitor and report progress.
- Follow client regulations, best practices, and procedures for facilities management.
- Coordinate work with tenant, service providers, and building owner.
- Lead and supervise other contract staff (Under 5 personnel).
- Manage work ticket intake system, assign staff, track progress, and develop reports for client.
- Develop standard operating procedures and guidelines as necessary to maintain facility.
- Analyze work processes and identify potential problems and inefficiencies, develop solutions.
- Manage quality control and assurance for all facilities work orders. Ensure satisfactory completion and close out tickets with client.
- Develop and submit weekly and monthly reports to client to track metrics.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of ten years’ of facilities management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business management, project management, or other applicable A/E/C field.
- Active PMP or CCM certification (other A/E/C certifications will be considered).
- Experience supervising personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with field and office personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products (excel, word, teams, etc.).
- Experience in the role of lead client point of contact.
- Knowledge of building system to include MEP, interior finishes, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, interpret contract terms and conditions.
- Experience with estimating, scheduling, and tracking project performance.
- Experience working in a federal government setting.
- Experience with leased office space preferred.
- 15+ years of experience
- 5+ years in government facilities management
- 5+ years supervising direct reports
- Experience with commercial leasing (GSA leases preferred)
- Experience with Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS)
- Experience with Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM)
- Experience managing a facility over 200,000 square feet and over 1,000 daily occupants
