At Maxar, you'll work with the U.S. Space Force as part of the effort to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle. Within this role, you will work with program leadership to monitor the cost, schedule, and performance of multiple projects, using tools like Microsoft Project and Jira. You will need to identify and help resolve disconnects across program baselines. Additionally, you'll create risk analyses and make recommendations for risk mitigation and management to program leaders.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with space programs, including planning, management, contract management, and business operations
• 4+ years of experience in project management with ACAT I space programs, including cost, schedule, performance, and risk
• Experience with DoD 5000.02 acquisition directives
• Working knowledge of scheduling tools, including MS Project, OnePager Pro, Milestones Professional
• Experience with using Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to interact well in cross-functional team meetings and professional environments
• Ability to interface with internal and external customers
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or Business Management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with military space systems
• Experience with the DoD acquisition system
• Experience developing Integrated Master Plans (IMPs), Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs), risks, and risk management plans for defense programs
• Possession of excellent leadership skills
• Possession of excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• TS/SCI clearance
• Master's degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Technology field
• Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Program Management Level II or higher Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
The base pay for this position within California, Colorado, Hawaii, and the Washington, DC metropolitan area is:
$104,000.00 - $172,000.00
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
