Job Description

About the role:
The Program & Governance Lead is responsible for shaping and driving initiatives across Takeda's Plasma Operating Units, ensuring they align with strategic goals and improve operational excellence. You will organize resources and processes to achieve project objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. In this role, you will foster collaboration across functions, facilitate manufacturing network strategies, and implement governance processes globally.
How you will contribute:
Project Leadership and Execution
- Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects such as process optimizations, facility upgrades, new product introductions (NPI), capital expenditures, equipment installations, and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans covering scope, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to budget, quality, and safety standards.
Governance and Process Optimization
- Define and maintain governance processes across the Plasma OpU in line with Takeda's GMSGQ Governance Model, ensuring clear communication, vetting, and decision-making protocols.
- Provide leadership in developing and implementing the manufacturing network strategy, facilitating continuous improvement across the OpU.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain to ensure project success.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, facilitating transparency and timely updates.
- Conduct regular project meetings to review ongoing tasks, resolve issues, and drive decisions to keep projects on track.
- Provide clear, concise project status reports, including progress updates, risks, and mitigation actions.
Risk Management
- Identify risks early in the project lifecycle and develop actionable mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Proactively resolve issues during project execution and escalate concerns to senior management when necessary.
- Continuously monitor risks and adjust project plans accordingly to achieve desired outcomes.
What you bring to Takeda:
We're looking for an experienced leader who excels at governance, sustainable process improvements, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess:
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management within a manufacturing environment, delivering projects such as new product introductions (NPI), process improvements, or facility upgrades.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in a relevant field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with managing projects in regulated industries, such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or food and beverage.
- Experience managing capital expenditures (CapEx) projects, including budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Black Belt, Lean, or Six Sigma certification is highly preferred.
Key Skills
- Advanced expertise in managing large-scale projects and making strategic planning decisions.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive decision-making.
- Advanced capabilities in risk management and mitigation.

- The position combines sedentary work and walking around to observe conditions in the facility.
Working Environment
- No makeup, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility is required to work multiple shifts, including weekends, in order to attend meetings and meet business demands.
- The work pace is fast, with high expectations for on-time delivery of key objectives and milestones.
- International travel up to 10% is required.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $241,340.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
