Job Summary
Delivers professional acquisition management solutions and support for DoD and civilian agencies and departments. Responsible for acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a project with a mission of development, acquisition, testing, integration, production and fielding.
Essential Function:
- Assists with defining proposals and qualifying vendors;
- Applies knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support clients;
- Reviews documentation;
- Tracks Contract Data Requirements List deliveries;
- Prepares program documentation;
- Interacts with client contracting officials, project officers, CORs and task managers, subcontractors and other management personnel;
- Familiar with DoD acquisition and life-cycle management policies and procedures;
- Prepares, reviews, and revises acquisition documentation applicable to each program/ project through all phases of the acquisition cycle;
- Performs analytical work in support of government analysts, engineers and technical specialists, reviewing and evaluating data and information;
- Assists in conducting research, review, and analysis of acquisition, technical, financial, and management-related items;
- Proficient with Risk Management practices and able to conduct, or participate in risk working groups to assess course of action planning and probability of success;
- Conducts studies, prepares reports, cost effectiveness, and regulatory conformance of plans, proposals, and/ or special projects;
- Demonstrated ability to work in small teams, follow work priorities, comply with quality standards, and engage with government staff;
- Experience with quality control for deliverables; and
- Reports in writing / verbally to upper management and client representatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Understanding of, and ability to support competitive bidding and proposal preparation;
- Familiarity with the DoD Business Capability Lifecycle, DoD 5000, and JCIDS frameworks;
- Functional understanding of technical and contractual documents;
- Proficiency with MS Excel / MS Word / MS PowerPoint / SharePoint; and
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Bachelor’s, +4 yrs. of programmatic experience, preferably in a formal acquisition environment;
- DAWIA/FAI certification (Program Management) desired;
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification desired; and
- OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Job Requirements
- This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) more than half the time
- This position requires the ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors
Clearance Requirements
- US Citizenship is required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
Telework Availability
- Until further notice, this position will remain in a hybrid telework posture with the potential for weekly meetings on-site at the customer's location.
Primary Work Location
- Contractor Site
Travel Requirements
- This position has local travel requirements up to 20%
