On behalf of a client in the engineering industry, we are seeking a highly skilled professional engineer/project manager to support the firm’s project delivery efforts. The professional engineer/project manager will play a pivotal role in defining project parameters and responding to observed water and wastewater collections system conditions within fiscally constrained and schedule-driven environments. This is a full-time, on-site, permanent position located in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Define project parameters in alignment with water and wastewater collections system conditions, ensuring adherence to fiscal constraints and schedule-driven environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including water and wastewater collections system planning, design, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless project execution
- Conduct thorough project assessments and feasibility studies to determine scope, objectives, and constraints
- Charter and implement robust project delivery and quality control protocols to facilitate cost-effective design, bidding, and construction of water and wastewater collections system infrastructure
- Implement cost control measures to optimize project efficiency and profitability
- Identify, assess, and monitor project risks and develop adaptive mitigation strategies for potential challenges to ensure successful project outcomes
- Maintain an acute awareness of all project stakeholders and foster effective communication at each stage of project development to address concerns and sustain stakeholder satisfaction
Qualifications
Requirements for this position include the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer license
- Demonstrated expertise in managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to budgetary and timeline constraints
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey project updates, risks, and strategies to diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to identify and manage project risks as well as implement adaptive strategies to ensure project success
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
