SUMMARY:
The Production Coordinator - Editorial supports and reports to the Associate Production Manager (APM), who supervises the management of the Editorial department.
Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare Edit (digital or physical) suite, write and distribute notes for all Editorial Review meetings.
- Track all outstanding notes discussed in Editorial Reviews.
- Attend production meetings and take notes for any Editorial topics.
- Work closely and communicate with Department Production Leadership regarding any changing deliveries going in/out of Editorial on a daily basis.
- Ensure accurate data entry and shot tracking in production tracking software (ShotGrid).
- Prepare script pages alongside Script Coordinator for all scratch and/or professional voice recordings, and take notes in sessions if needed.
- Special projects as needed.
- Keep the supervisor/APM informed by providing accurate and timely information.
- Maintain constant communication with the Editorial Team and assist in fulfilling any department related needs.
- Create trusting and open relationships with other productions team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous editorial or other animation production experience.
- Highly organized, resourceful and diligent with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced department.
- Must be willing to take direction when needed and also take the initiative where applicable.
- Able to work independently and set appropriate priorities.
- Able to maintain a high level of discretion.
- Computer and technology literate – familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems, Final Draft, Word, Excel and Google Suite. Experience with Shotgrid is a plus.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $25.00/hour to $31.00/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
