You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.
How you will contribute
You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

What you need to know about this position:

  • Operates in work groups and monitors processes within an assigned area of responsibility.
  • Monitors a variety of functions and responds to problems as needed.
  • Operates equipment while evaluating and documenting product and package quality.
  • Keep work area clean including scrubbing, sweeping, reaching and bending.
  • Communicates with supervision and other departments concerning quality and processing issues.
  • Provides sanitary assessment and cleaning of the area assigned to.
  • Pass certification processes for work assignments; follow procedures accurately and repeatedly. Lean Manufacturing practices are to be incorporated into daily work assignments, these expectations are a part of the daily work assignment. This includes, but is not limited to: 5S, center lining, defect identification and CIL compliance
  • Employees are responsible and held accountable for working safely. This includes: engagement and adherence to the company's programs, procedures, safety tools and equipment, and training; reporting observed hazards and risks and assisting with controls as needed; commitment to and understanding that safety is everyone's responsibility and the only way to work - safety is first, last, and always about you, your co-workers, family, friends, and everything we value.


Education / Certifications: High School Diploma or (GED) (Required)
Job specific requirements:

  • Be able to bend, lift, squat, and twist in an 8 hour period


Preferred candidates will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to work well in a group/team based setting, and welcome change in an evolving environment.


Experience:

  • Availability to work in a Physical demanding environment, cleaning machines (Required)
  • Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)


Salary range:

  • $50K to $80K yearly.
