The Opportunity
Join our team as a Product & Systems Specialist, where you will demonstrate the value of John Deere's Large Tractor and Air Seeding equipment portfolio. Your role will span across John Deere's Large Tractor and Air Seeding product portfolio, showcasing both agronomic and economic benefits to our dealers and customers.
This field-based position can be located Perth, Western Australia and requires regular domestic travel to fulfill the responsibilities of the role. If successful, you will be responsible for-

  • Knowledge Development: Enhance product and technology knowledge among dealers and team members to ensure they are well-equipped to articulate the John Deere value effectively.
  • Support Dealer Demonstrations: Collaborate with dealers to develop, execute, and support product and solutions demonstrations that align with their Area of Responsibility (AOR) requirements.
  • Manage Equipment Demonstrations: Oversee JDL equipment demonstrations by meticulously executing demonstration plans that highlight the features and benefits of our offerings to unlock value for our customers.
  • Drive Technology Adoption: Foster growth in Embedded Technology Take Rate by creating compelling value proposition statements and supporting documents.
  • Optimize Products and Technology: Govern the Product and Technology Optimization process (Pre-Sale) through group meetings and interactions to identify key opportunities.
  • Demonstration Planning: Ensure dealers have a comprehensive demonstration plan that illustrates the agronomic and economic value of the complete John Deere solution while clearly communicating your role in supporting execution.
  • Manage Consignment Equipment: Take ownership of all JDL Consignment Equipment, ensuring proper utilization and compliance with inspection requirements as per the consignment policy.
  • Sales Enablement: Identify and support sales opportunities by actively participating in dealer and team meetings, enhancing communication and engagement.
  • Event Representation: Represent John Deere at Field Days and Trade Show Events, showcasing our products and solutions to a broader audience.
  • Customer Engagement: Assist dealers and territory teams during customer visits and salesperson ride-alongs to enhance customer relationships and support sales efforts.


About You
With strong expertise in agricultural machinery, precision ag products, and farming practices, you are an energetic self-starter and an excellent team player who takes pride in your work environment.
What Skills You Need:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and execute plans effectively
  • Experience in the agriculture industry, including machine and agronomic understanding
  • Knowledge of modern farming practices and digital tools, with a capacity for analysis
  • Marketing experience and skills in planning, execution and relationship building
  • Understanding of wholesale/retail relationships
  • Goal-oriented with a drive to be a market leader
  • Self-motivated and ability to influence without authority
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
  • Seeding and Tractor Marketing Experience advantageous

Education / Experience:
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent experience in one of the following areas:

  • Agricultural Sciences
  • Marketing
  • Engineering/Technology
