POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Support Specialist is a product champion within our organization, focusing on:  initiatives in product lifecycle planning, assisting in planning and executing the 3-5 year product road map, technical challenges, product innovation and working cross functionally specifically with engineering to launch new products and product enhancements. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Innovation through new product development and enhancement of existing products (including software tools).

  • Develop customer solutions for technical product challenges.

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for customers, agents and staff.

  • Ensure brand consistency throughout product line-up.

  • Assist the Product Manager in analyzing product performance, product competitiveness, and product trends.

  • Research and monitor competitor product and service offerings.

  • Work with the Sales and Marketing team on product promotion initiatives.

  • Product visualization and renderings.

  • Contribute to product pricing strategies and guidelines.

  • Analyze industry trends and market demands to recommend product enhancements.

  • Develop and maintain all technical product support information.

  • Ensure product offering compliance with relevant code requirements.

  • Contribute to the overall functioning of the team by maintaining and sharing awareness of best practices and emerging technologies.

  • Special projects and other duties as required.

SKILLS

  • Professional and friendly with a passionate customer service attitude.

  • Excellent problem-solving and organization skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and working knowledge in AutoDesk suite of products.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Resourceful and proactive.

  • Familiar with basic project management best practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Post secondary education in Marketing or Engineering.

  • Work experience in product and/or project management an asset.

  • 4 - 6 years of work experience in product development and/or product support.

  • Experience in marketing related activities an asset.

  • Must be able to travel 15-25% of the time
