The Product Specialist/ Sales Consultant is a pivotal position responsible for showcasing and promoting our products. This role plays a crucial part in educating customers, providing product demonstrations, and contributing to sales success. The purpose of this position is to enhance the overall customer experience, drive product awareness, and support the achievement of sales targets.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide expert knowledge of car models, features, and specifications to potential customers.

  • Guide customers through product selection based on their needs, preferences, and budget.

  • Conduct product demonstrations, highlighting key features and benefits of various vehicle models.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the latest automotive technologies, trends, and industry developments.

  • Assist customers in understanding financing options and warranty coverage available with each vehicle.

  • Answer customer queries regarding vehicle functionality, safety features, and other technical details.

  • Coordinate test drives for customers, ensuring they experience the vehicle’s key features firsthand

  • Negotiate and Close sales with customers

  • Provide recommendations based on customer preferences such as fuel economy, size, and technology

  • Assist in the preparation of vehicles for delivery, ensuring proper cleanliness and readiness

  • Offer guidance on vehicle customization options, including interior and exterior features

  • Promote dealership services such as maintenance packages, trade-in opportunities, and aftersales support

  • Ensure that customers are aware of upcoming models or special promotions within the dealership

  • Build strong relationships with customers to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business

  • Stay updated on competitor products and market trends to ensure the dealership stays competitive

  • Ensure all product information is accurate and up-to-date across various sales channels

  • Use CRM tools to track customer interactions and provide tailored follow-up support

  • Track customer feedback and provide insights to management for product and service improvements

  • Contribute to achieving sales targets by assisting in the identification of new sales opportunities.

  • Stay professional and maintain a customer-first attitude, ensuring a positive and informative experience for all potential buyers.

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in a dealership or in a similar role

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles is advantageous

  • Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience

  • Ability to communicate technical details in a clear and understandable manner

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to present information in an engaging and compelling manner

  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service

  • Ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing product offerings and market dynamics

  • Valid driver’s license
