Job Description

As a Product Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of our regulatory reporting applications under minimal supervision, working in a distributed cross-functional Agile/Scrum development team.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and debug software applications according to project requirements and coding standards.

• Write and execute unit tests and participate in integration testing to ensure the reliability of software components.

• Identify and fix software defects (bugs) and work on maintenance tasks to improve the overall stability of existing applications.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, readability, and adherence to best practices.

• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to contribute to the software development life cycle.

• Implement new features and enhancements based on specifications provided by senior team members or product managers.

• Investigate and troubleshoot issues reported by users or identified during testing.

• Optimize code for performance and efficiency without sacrificing readability and maintainability.

• Analyze and understand project requirements, translating them into technical solutions.

• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and prevent vulnerabilities.

• Contribute to estimating development efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Informatics Economics, Applied Informatics or a related field.

• 2+ years working experience as a Software Engineer with programming languages like VB, C/C++, Java and scripting languages like VB Script.

• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and PL/SQL knowledge.

• Knowledge of XML / XBRL.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Experience with source control tools (preferably GIT).

• Experience with Jira, Team City, Maven and environment configuration will be a plus.

• Experience with data analysis, data processing, using AI on data will be a plus.

• Responsible, well organized and self-motivated.

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

• Ability to integrate and work in a multicultural team and in a fast-paced development and delivery organization.

• Problem solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.
