Position Overview: The Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that Mixam’s products and services are aligned with market demands and business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and leadership to define product roadmaps, manage product backlogs, and ensure that high-quality features are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Ownership: 
    • Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, and priorities, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
    • Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring efficient sprint execution and delivery of features.
    • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that the product meets business and customer expectations before release.
  • Backlog Management and Business Analysis: 
    • Own the product backlog, ensuring user stories are clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for development, including acceptance criteria and associated KPIs.
    • Conduct detailed business analysis to understand market trends, customer behavior, and operational efficiency, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements, optimizing workflows, and enhancing product functionality.
  • Stakeholder Communication: 
    • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are understood and expectations are managed.
    • Assisting the team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
    • Participate in PMO (Project Management Organization) as required to ensure the projects have necessary resources from the engineering team

Key Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in business analysis and/or product ownership, preferably in a technology-driven or eCommerce environment.
  • Agile Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, with hands-on experience managing sprints and product backlogs.
  • Business Analysis: Advanced knowledge of business analysis frameworks, including experience with process mapping, requirements gathering, and data analysis.
  • Technical Understanding: Ability to understand technical requirements and constraints, working closely with development teams to ensure feasibility and proper implementation.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, capable of navigating ambiguity and driving product success.
  • Tools: Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent, and familiarity with prototyping and wireframing tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the print industry or with eCommerce platforms.
  • Knowledge of data-driven decision making, leveraging analytics tools to inform product development.
  • Certification in Product Ownership (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)) or Business Analysis (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
