The Disability Solution team has built and continues to expand on the industries leading disability and absence management solution. The team is a dynamic combination of product management and software engineering experts using industry leading processes to build industry leading solutions.
The Opportunity
As a Product Owner for the Disability Migrations ART within the U.S. Group Benefits team, you will play a crucial role in validating the customers' experience in moving from legacy systems to the new Catalyst platform. You will work closely with the Product Manager and other stakeholders to ensure successful migrations and enhanced customer experience.
Success in this role requires communicating, partnering, and problem solving . The Product Owner is responsible for testing the customer's solution on MetLife's industry leading solution. You'll collaborate closely with product managers and software engineers in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities) Develop solutions and test strategies to ensure quality for migrating customers from legacy systems to the future state platform.
- Collaborate with other Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, Testers, Architects and other SMEs to ensure a comprehensive test approach.
- Assist the Product Manager in writing and refining features.
- Write and prioritize user stories for one or more of the migration testing teams.
- Participate in determining the test environment, code drop schedules, and test data needs.
- Participate in defect review discussions, determining impact and severity of identified issues.
- Assist Solution Management and Product Management in planning the migration order from legacy systems to Catalyst.
- Support the Product Manager in executing the migration strategy.
- Coordinate support across business, IT, operational readiness teams, and other partners.
- Provide periodic progress and status updates on migration deliverables.
- Participate in all relevant Agile ceremonies, such as PI Planning.
- Problem solving skills to address complex issues and deliver value.
- Motivates people and gains commitment to achieve key objectives and business goals.
- Creates partnerships across agile teams, ARTs and Solutions.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- At least 2 years' experience working in an agile delivery method.
- At least 5 years' experience testing software in the financial services industry
- At least 5 years' of experience developing and executing manual and automated software test scripts.
- At least 5 years' experience using industry standard testing tools and technologies including Azure, Jira, qTest or similar tools.
- At least 5 years of experience leading testing team(s) in support of complex business solutions.
- Solid communication skills.
What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)
- SAFe certifications
- Previous experience testing data conversion solutions
- At least 5 years experience testing software for an employee benefits provider
- At least 5 years of experience as a product owner for testing using the SAFe methodology
- At least 5 years of experience with Azdo setting up user stories, test cases, defects, and dashboard management.
- At leave 3 years of experience with test automation platforms such as Tosca or Selenium.
- Industry testing certifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The salary range for applicants for this position is $80,000-130,000.
