Job Summary: As a Product Owner for one of the Revenue Management systems you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog related to system development. You will work closely with the revenue management team, stakeholders, and the development team to ensure the system aligns with the company’s revenue goals and market dynamics. Your role is crucial in shaping the product from ideation to implementation, optimizing revenue management processes to drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap to all relevant stakeholders and team members, aligning with revenue management strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the revenue management team and other stakeholders to identify pricing needs and translate these into product requirements.
- Create and prioritize a product backlog, ensuring the team works on features that deliver the highest value in terms of revenue optimization and growth.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritize features, ensuring they are well understood by the development team.
- Provide ongoing clarification and guidance to the development team throughout the system development process, especially regarding product algorithms and data integration.
- Review completed work to ensure it meets defined acceptance criteria and aligns with the product strategy and quality standards.
- Measure and report on product performance, including KPIs related to effectiveness, and progress towards strategic revenue management goals.
- Continuously gather feedback from stakeholders to inform future product decisions, optimizing for better accuracy, competitiveness, and responsiveness.
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that may hinder the team’s ability to deliver features and improvements on time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, ideally within revenue management or pricing systems.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in a Scrum environment.
- Solid understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and revenue optimization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to explain complex pricing concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software developers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions.
- Experience with product management tools such as Jira or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.
- Experience in revenue management or pricing system development.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles with a focus on pricing interfaces and dashboards.
- Familiarity with data integration and API systems.
