Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in Equity Trade Derivatives (ETD) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in global cash equities, fixed income, and derivatives trading. Additionally, experience with FIX messaging infrastructure, current regulatory frameworks, and working with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS) is essential. The Product Owner will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product vision, prioritize features, and ensure successful product delivery.
Software Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Equity Trade Derivatives (ETD), including global cash equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
- Familiarity with FIX messaging infrastructure and its application in trading environments.
- Understanding of current regulatory frameworks impacting trading and financial services.
- Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS).
Overall Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for Equity Trade Derivatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, traders, and development teams, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.
- Prioritize product backlog based on business value, stakeholder feedback, and strategic goals.
- Ensure that development teams understand the product requirements and provide ongoing support during the development process.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of product progress, adjusting priorities and plans as necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for product development.
Technical Skills:

Primary Skills:
- Deep understanding of Equity Trade Derivatives (ETD) and market structures.
- Knowledge of FIX messaging protocols and their implementation in trading systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing trading activities.
- Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Basic understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to track product performance.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the financial services industry, specifically focused on trading products.
- Proven track record of managing product development in Equity Trade Derivatives or related areas.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define user stories for product development.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions with development teams.
- Monitor the progress of product development and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Communicate product updates and gather feedback from stakeholders to inform future iterations.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Relevant certifications in product management or Agile methodologies are a plus.
