Job Title: Product Owner
Location: Bangalore- Manyata Tech park
Business & Team:
As a product owner, you will be part of a large cloud engineering cohort that are all aligned on executing the technology strategy, working alongside AWS Engineers and Cloud Architects and Business Teams to help create scalable and federated cloud native systems. We are establishing a greenfield landscape from ground up, partnering with our stakeholders to design, develop and deliver frameworks that underpin our ability to deliver enhanced data solutions with robust controls for our internal customers deriving value for Banks customers.
As a Product Owner, you will come with proven expertise in cloud technology, big data, architecture and design, as well as team leadership skills, working within largely complex data products teams. You will hold a passion for providing data and platform engineering solutions, contributing to a major set of technical decisions and build, while constantly defining the technical roadmaps in line with business’s strategic goals.
Impact & Contribution:
To ensure the Group achieves sustainable competitive advantage through data & analytics, you will need to play a key role in supporting the CDO in executing to the Groups data strategy.
You will utilise cutting-edge technologies to solve our customers' hardest data centric problems. One of your key responsibilities will be to contribute to the design and build of generic, reusable data processing framework assets, which will be leveraged by other LOBs in the group.
This will include sound knowledge of the Groups data strategy, architecture and technology roadmap, aligning business needs and ensuring appropriate service levels of the CDO technology services.
You will adopt tools and templates used across CDO that underpin our data and analytics capabilities for the Group.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Define the squad product vision, goals and roadmap aligned with the objectives and purpose.
- Design and deliver data engineering solutions for products and platforms to address identified needs or opportunities and build and prioritise the squad backlog in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead and develop a squad of team members including data engineers, data analysts, quality engineers and Tech BAs, creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high-performance culture.
- Identify risk, dependencies and issues for the squad in line with excellent management of operational risk and compliance outcomes.
- Stay abreast of external market trends - Big data, Cloud Technology, privacy, security, technology and innovation.
Essential Skills:
- 8-12 years of Relevant Experience
- Demonstrable experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams, stakeholders, review boards and committees to deliver technology outcomes.
- Multi-faceted technology vision with ability to breakdown complex technology deliverables into tangible goals.
- Sound knowledge of standards SDLC lifecycle process.
- Sound knowledge of Data engineering practices with experience on Cloud Technologies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and demonstrated capability for constructive challenge, including process improvement and challenging the status quo.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to break down and summarise complex technical concepts into plain English.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams with agile ceremonies.
