ModMed is hiring a talented and driven AI Product Owner to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing product team.  In this role, you will collaborate closely with product-line-specific product managers and our Director of Product Management to translate the strategic vision for AI capabilities into actionable tasks.

You will be working in a collaborative, energetic, dynamic, and creative environment to drive the successful integration of AI features across our product lines, enhancing our offerings and delivering great value to our customers. What Impact you’ll have:

  • Plan: You will be working with product-line-specific product managers to understand the requirements of AI product delivery to achieve business goals, and interpret them into Business objectives that inform/define a Product roadmap.  You will also be responsible for defining and managing the associated product backlog to ensure work is appropriately prioritized and assigned to relevant releases to meet overall AI product deadlines.
  • Execute. Drive the development and delivery of AI product deliverables. Manage the delivery of the technical solution across AI teams and product line specific engineering teams, the deployment of the AI capability/solution, and the iterations of AI model training to ensure the on-time delivery of each milestone.
  • Advocate. You will advocate the near-term product strategy for AI product priorities to ensure dedicated resource planning from all required teams. Create a strong feedback loop internally and externally to continue to identify opportunities to improve AI products.

Significant Activities:

  • Translate the product-line-specific Product Manager’s roadmap into clearly defined feature sets & requirements, establishing goals and priorities per release.
  • Develop, maintain, and prioritize the AI product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Groom and prioritize backlog and product requests from multiple sources to deliver the most value to the organization.
  • Represent the ‘Voice of the Customer’ internally, serving as the internal subject matter expert for the development team.
  • Lead and assist with communicating the vision and roadmap during PI Planning to ensure teams are aligned and ready to execute against them.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders and management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate product success and identify areas for improvement.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or extensive demonstrated experience in healthcare.
  • 3-5 years experience in planning and delivery of AI products, with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and technologies, and an understanding of their application in real-world products.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; able to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: JIRA, Google Suite tools, business intelligence tools (Databricks dashboard, HEAP) and/or other analytical tools to derive data-driven decisions, insights, and storytelling.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex concepts for a non-technical audience.
  • Experience collaborating with an extended product team and data engineering to support the build out of appropriate data sets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, executives, partners, and clients.
  • Ability to work hybrid within our Boca Raton, FL headquarters and travel domestically on a quarterly basis.

Set yourself apart:

  • Experience in managing AI data projects or integrating AI technologies into existing products.
  • Strong background in data analysis or machine learning.
  • Experience with tools and frameworks commonly used in AI and data science, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams on AI or technology-driven initiatives.
  • Certification in Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO) or Agile methodologies.
