Job Description

We are looking for a Product Operations Program Manager to support our Product organization at DNAnexus. This role requires a solid background and experience with the product development lifecycle (PDLC) from concept to post-launch/maintenance. The candidate should have a good understanding of a product manager’s role and responsibilities, and excels at building relationships within the Product team and in other organizations such as Engineering, Marketing, and Sales, and who has the ability to synthesize Product topics into executive messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the end-to-end PDLC process from planning the product roadmap to tracking the go-to-market activities for new features and products
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Product leadership and executive stakeholders to define, track, and report on schedules and milestones of the various product development tracks
  • Identify and manage dependencies cross-functionally, track deliverables, anticipate and mitigate risks.
  • Develop processes and procedures, chaperone process roll out and change management.
  • Facilitate planning sessions and program check-ins as part of maintaining the health of the product development tracks
  • Be the face of the Product roadmap internally, supporting cross-functional collaboration by maintaining visibility onto the product portfolio, and clarity on the methodology used to drive decisions and execute on plans
  • Identify and implement data-driven processes to define and measure Product success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Technology Management, Life Sciences or related.
  • 5 years of relevant experience including as a program or technical program manager, product manager / product owner, or product / operations / business analyst in the technology or biotechnology industry
  • Customer-centric philosophy - passionate about building great products that delight our customers and solve important problems in science and healthcare
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Google suite or equivalent enterprise software is a must.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle simultaneous competing expectations, along tight deadlines while ensuring customers remain satisfied
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, thrive in ambiguity, and help remove roadblocks
  • Self motivated, proactive and autonomous with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Empathy - ability to listen to other perspectives, but decisive and persuasive in driving decisions and execution
