We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and meticulous Product Master Data Specialist with a focus on Product Information Management (PIM) to join our CHI division at Lonza. This role will play a pivotal part in managing product master data and ensuring that our product information is accurate, consistent, and easily accessible across the organization. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, deeply involved in data processes, and passionate about maintaining high data quality standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies, streamline workflows, and leverage technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Management:
- Maintain and update product master data records, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Conduct proactive data maintenance activities with various downstream systems, ensuring cleansing, validation, and enrichment in systems like SFDC, Customer Portal, Websites, Marketo, SAP, and various other downstream enablement tools.
PIM System Management:
- Lead cross functional stakeholders in IT, revenue operations, marketing, and more in requirements gathering, selection, and deploying a new Product Information Management (PIM) system
- Manage PIM operations to ensure accurate and timely information dissemination
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop processes and standards for content and data within PIM and other repositories
Data Quality:
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and implement measures to address data discrepancies.
- Develop data quality metrics and dashboards for ongoing monitoring.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, product development, product management, marketing, and other teams to ensure seamless data integration and consistency.
- Partner closely with central IT and Master Data Management teams at Lonza.
- Facilitate cross-functional data governance meetings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product data can be leveraged across channels including e-commerce and with distributors and agent
Reporting:
- Generate comprehensive reports to track data quality and support decision-making processes.
- Provide detailed analysis and insights to support business strategies.
Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement improvements in data management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for data-related activities.
Compliance:
- Ensure all data management practices comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Monitor and enforce data governance policies.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in master data management, with a focus on product data and PIM systems
- Strong analytical skills and keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in PIM systems and data management tools
- Proficiency in software, including SFDC, Marketo, SAP, Adobe Commerce
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Project management: able to lead end to end
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly matrixed environment and managing complex projects/needs
