Who We're looking for
Are you a skilled marketing professional eager to take on an exciting role creating modern customer experiences that drive customer activation, adoption and engagement? Join our dynamic and expanding team focused on creating customer value through user-centric digital journeys. The Product team of Cisco Spaces that's focused on Customer Lifecycle Marketing has just the right role for you.
In this role, you will conceptualize and implement strategic campaigns tailored to deliver immediate customer value. You will collaborate effectively with various customer touch-points, including in-product tutorials and guides and customer education platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing innovative growth tactics, using contemporary marketing channels such as chatbots, product tours, banners, knowledge base, and in-app messaging, alongside traditional channels like email.
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cross-functional strategies and campaigns, working closely with teams such as Sales, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Product Management.
What You'll Do
• You will lead the development of customer and user communications, including use case messaging, product updates, newsletters, service notifications, and satisfaction surveys.
• Using customer data and analytics, you will craft highly targeted audience segments to ensure messages are delivered effectively via appropriate channels.
• As a custodian of our brand, you will consistently uphold our brand promise and narrative across all communications. You will provide regular updates to key collaborators on future initiatives and project outcomes.
• Your outstanding organizational skills will shine as you create and manage the customer communication calendar, ensuring timely delivery of critical business communications. Moreover, you will maintain a balance by protecting our customers from excessive messaging, prioritizing relevance and engagement.
• Develop and execute campaign strategies across customer lifecycle (awareness, activation, adoption, renewal, upsell) to achieve business and adoption objectives
• Build, test, and optimize email campaigns to improve key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
• Develop a deep understanding of the product and use it to craft engaging and relevant content and collaterals, including copy, visuals, and calls to action.
• Set up email automation workflows; schedule, send, and track email campaigns using marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mail chimp) to nurture leads and drive conversions.
• Own campaign performance metrics and align them to key business and revenue metrics including customer acquisition and install base expansion.
Experience & Education
• Bachelors/Master's degree in Marketing, Business (or equivalent work experience).
• 3-4 years of experience in email marketing, including campaign management and automation tools.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and love to build things from scratch
• Solid understanding of email marketing standard processes, segmentation, and A/B testing.
• Strong writing and editing chops, with a talent for distilling sophisticated ideas into plain language across long-form, short form and video content.
• You love to build relationships and delight customers because you know loyal customers equals higher LTV. And you don't need to google "LTV"
• Analytical mentality with the ability to interpret and act on data.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS for email template customization is a plus.
• Experience with marketing automation tools and digital marketing tech stack is a huge plus (HubSpot, Google Analytics, Pendo, Hot jar, Data box, Elementor, Unbounce, etc)

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.
Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
