Role overview
The Multicar team is accountable for building and scaling Hastings Multi Car product, growing the product to become a market leader, enabling transition to Multi Product.
As a Product Manager, you will work closely with the Commercial Manager and other key stakeholders across the business to deliver first class customer experience.
Job details
- The day to day responsibilities of the role will be split into 5 rough subcategories:
- Propositions Strategy - You will be accountable for driving and delivering the product strategy an a long term vision of the product.
- Change Management - You will drive he Multi Car change process forwards by working effectively with the wider business, supporting the prioritisation of initiatives in accordance with business needs, gathering cross-functional business requirements and be an integral part of the project team.
- Backlog Ownership - Be accountable for defining and prioritising the product delivery roadmap into a single view according to both customer and business value. Utilise a data-led approach to prioritisation.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensure adherence to regulatory responsibilities, such as product reviews, consumer duty considerations and in managing product performance – ensuring we deliver fair value to our customers.
- Product Governance - Ownership of product governance, leading on ensuring we have appropriate workarounds are in place, removal of manual process through change delivery. Accountable for post release testing approach for the proposition.
Essential skills/experience
- We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a product management / executive type role.
- A good Commercial Acumen is essential, with knowledge of business case processes and managing P&L lines.
- We would also like to see a proven customer-centric approach, with the customer at the heart of all considerations.
- The teams also utilise Agile development methodologies so we would nee to see a good understanding, especially SCRUM.
- A large part of the role is stakeholder management / engagement so strong relationship building skills is a must.
- Experience of the insurance industry and in life servicing would be a distinct advantage.
