We are searching for a Product Manager to support our work with a renowned federal agency where you will help drive modernization in one of the world’s largest data repositories. We are looking for full-time candidates currently residing in the United States. This position is available for remote work.
Position Description
We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager that will play a vital role in the success of the IT/Product Modernization for one of the largest public repositories of high throughput data sequencing. The ideal candidate will guide product success, define vision, and prioritize government customer requirements. You will collaborate to meet contract deliverables and ensure customer satisfaction. In this role you will analyze market trends, perform competitive analysis, and develop strategies for public sector growth. Strong leadership, excellent communication, and understanding of government clients are essential.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify and document goals and outcomes for this highly visible data sequencing initiative
- Communicate regularly project team members, and representatives from various functional teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration
- Prepare and review product requirements documents, establish success criteria, and KPIs
- Conduct user research to gather insights on user needs and preferences
- Organize product releases properly and ensure the compliance with schedule
- Development of risk assessments and risk mitigation countermeasures
- Compile findings into actionable requirements for the updated data model development
- Prioritize requirements based on business goals and user needs
- Measure impact of the initiative on users’ sentiment
- Develop a branding strategy to increase initiative visibility
- Plan outreach activities to engage stakeholders and users
Education and Experience
- 5+ years experience in software product management
- 5+ years experience with Jira, agile, and waterfall methodology
- Experience leading and developing KPIs, executive reporting, and stakeholder management
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree desired
- Qualified candidates will have some combination of these certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- ScrumMaster Certification (CSM)
- SAFe Agilist (SA)

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and location. The targeted range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000.
