You’ll work in a fast-paced growing environment helping to deliver customer value at pace, and we need someone who can balance short-term pragmatism with long-term ambition.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves variety and is comfortable working with customers one minute and diving into technical design decisions the next.  This is a new role supporting our expanding business.

At Dayshape, our purpose is to improve people's working lives, and our culture is an important driving force in helping us to do just that. We're a friendly, inclusive, and ambitious team - driven by our and a shared commitment to success. If you’re ready to join a fast-growing, high-impact company that’s reimagining resource management, then let’s talk.

About the role

The successful candidate will have a varied remit, providing support to Platform and Infrastructure teams with a scalability, efficiency and resilience focus, as well as supporting ad hoc tactical teams on specific customer-facing features.

As a Product Manager, your major stakeholders will be both internal and external. Dayshape is a single product company, so the Product Management function interfaces with almost every other team in the company including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services and Support. You’ll work closely with these departments to get their input into multiple demands and product development needs.

Externally, you will demonstrate empathy with our customers, leading workshops and developing a data-led approach that will help us identify what matters to them.

As you prioritise and plan development on an ongoing basis, you will have a critical role in undertaking the discovery work required to refine requirements and communicating the plan to stakeholders.

Visions and plans mean nothing if they aren’t delivered, and you will steer that delivery, working on prioritisation and scheduling for your development teams. In particular, you’ll work very closely with the Tech Lead / Feature Lead to consider the capacity, capabilities and characters of your team and how best to deliver value and estimate timescales.

What you’ll do

  • Provide product leadership for the Platform and Infrastructure teams:
  • Identify and develop business objectives
  • Develop and execute team vision
  • Define, prioritise and deliver a roadmap for the team
  • Own the full feature lifecycle:
    • Discover
      • Use market and customer research skills to uncover points of friction to be solved which provide value for the customer and the business.
    • Build
      • Work with a cross functional team to build solutions that will add value for customers and Dayshape.
      • Prioritise and select appropriate features to build based on company objectives and an analysis of mitigating Value, Usability, Feasibility and Business risks.
    • Launch
      • Work as the driving force behind the launch and enablement of each feature, ensuring that all key stakeholders are made aware of and enabled to use, market, sell, and install the new feature.
      • Speak to the main personas within the market segment about Dayshape, our positioning, and how we bring value to our customers.
      • Lead the ‘hearts and minds’ initiatives with our customers and how they interact with our product.
      • Represent our Product and our approach to developing the product through suitable public speaking events.
    • Measure
      • Based on the expected outcomes outlined during the ideation phase, measure the impact of the feature and assess its success and any required changes.
    • Maintain
      • Use product telemetry or other customer insights and feedback to understand the efficacy and relevance of the feature to iterate or improve it.
    • Retire
      • Maintain a portfolio of features which will need to be assessed against various stages of their lifecycle (e.g. KANO) with appropriate action taken at each point.

About you

You will have a passion for delivering enterprise customer-focused products that improve people’s working lives. You will be:

  • Experienced in leading product discovery and delivery for enterprise software;
  • Comfortable discussing, and ideally have experience working with, technical concepts such as performance, scalability, stability and cloud infrastructure;
  • An exceptional communicator, able to build rapport and trust with anyone, really listening to what people mean, and getting your points across passionately but kindly;
  • Highly adaptable, comfortable context switching and delivering across multiple projects in parallel;
  • A supportive and challenging leader;
  • Always thinking about the big picture, balancing product, commercial and customer needs and risks at all times;
  • Able to be a champion of our product vision to our customers, to our market and within the company;
  • Quick to grasp new concepts, and always looking to understand the underlying “why” in any situation;
  • Great at breaking down big tasks into small chunks, and not easily overwhelmed by tricky problems;

What you’ll get

  • Salary £50,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience
  • At least £1,000 per year to spend on professional and personal development
  • 33 days' holiday per year (including bank holidays), increasing by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days
  • Paid four-week sabbatical in your fifth anniversary year on top of your holiday entitlement
  • Enhanced family leave policies
  • Private healthcare and rewards through Vitality
  • Income protection and death in service cover
  • Matched 5% auto-enrolment workplace pension scheme
  • Access to wellbeing offerings, such as our Employee Assistance Programme and a dedicated counselling service
  • Innovation Week twice a year - a chance to experiment and work off-project
  • Volunteering time – up to 20 hours a year to participate in volunteer work
  • Regular All Hands meeting for inspiration and over-communication
  • Time out of the working week for team socials each month, with a mix of in-person and virtual options: past events include hiking, family BBQs, board games and at-home cocktail classes!
  • Genuinely nice, smart people to work with, who are excited about growing our company
