We want to add a Product Manager II to our growing Alarm.com Video team, where you can collaborate with engineering (hardware, firmware, software, and quality), marketing, and support teams to deliver innovative video solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your job responsibilities will include:

  • Drive the entire product development life cycle – writing product specifications, testing new features, managing beta programs, and developing product marketing materials and technical documentation to ensure successful launches of video products
  • Conduct market research and develop strategy for next-generation products and features
  • Perform in-depth data analysis and generate insights to drive product strategy and decision-making
  • Partneriwith engineering, support, sales, and high-profile partners to investigate and resolve issues

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum B.S. or B.A. from a competitive school with strong academic performance
  • Degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, math, physics, or related field
  • 2-6 years of experience in product management, engineering, or similar role
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking abilities including statistical analysis to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for consumer technology and interest in developing a deep understanding of complex products and technologies
  • Previous experience with customer interviews and managing customer feedback (preferred)
  • Previous experience communicating requirements to engineering teams and managing requirements modifications during product development (preferred)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • General knowledge of business, economics and/or finance
  • Experience in the following areas is a plus: Computer Networking (including Wi-Fi), IP Video Recording, Video Analytics, Machine Learning, and Computer Programming
