As a Senior Product Associate in JPMorgan Payments, you'll be an integral part of our Product, Data Science, and Technology teams. This role offers you the opportunity to leverage your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact. You'll have the chance to use user research and customer feedback to create innovative products and enhance existing ones. In this role, you'll help shape and deliver our next-generation data platforms and products. You'll be at the forefront of driving the next generation of client-facing business analytics solutions for enterprise-sized clients. Customer Insights is our business intelligence platform designed for enterprise-sized clients, helping them reach customers and grow their bottom line. This exclusive platform is available to Chase Payment Solutions℠ merchants who adopt credit and debit card processing.
Job responsibilities

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
  • Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
  • Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
  • Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
  • Working with data scientists, engineering, design, product owners, and other internal teams to understand and solution new use cases as part of our overall product strategy
  • Prototyping new feature ideas in SQL and Python and evaluating their business feasibility
  • Developing our digital engagement tracking framework and leveraging toolkits like Adobe Analytics and Tableau to implement
  • Partnering with internal teams and external vendors to source new data sets to support new feature development.
  • Partnering with external stakeholders to expand the universe of channels of delivery of Customer Insights


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
  • Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
  • Product management experience in an analytics/information technology setting or management consulting experience
  • Experience in analytics (e.g., SQL or Python) - candidate needs to have the ability to analyze data to make decisions
  • Experience with data and analytics platforms; Appreciation for controlled execution and applicable regulatory requirements; Influencing skills
  • Management consulting skillset (problem solving, impact orientation, business understanding, program management, executive presence)
  • Passion for data and analytics and familiarity with relevant technologies
  • Ability to concisely articulate complex information in both verbal and written form; Exceptional analytical acumen and demonstrated ability to advance thinking to "best in class", with a digital mind-set; Strong interpersonal skills to both partner with and influence stakeholders


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiar and interested in performance marketing, including Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media marketing platforms.
  • Customer obsessed - ability to convert client needs into product features
  • Work experience and BA/BS or Master's with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (Operations Research, Data Science, Business Analytics, etc.)
