Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE: You will be essential to our products' success from ideation to market launch as an experienced product manage and will be part of our product management team. You will need to have a strong combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and strategic thinking. You should also have a track record of effectively launching products into the market and maximizing their performance over the course of their lives and in addition, act as the “Voice of the local business/market”, while aligning with regional strategy. You will be based in Kajang, Selangor . You will report to the Senior Manager, Product Management, ASEAN.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Create a well-defined product strategy that is in line with the overarching business goals. Make a thorough product plan that outlines both short- and long-term objectives, and manage it.
  • Work closely with the local RnD team to develop & launch products which are truly unique to the local market. Identify, highlight & work with the regional team for bigger platform projects.
  • Map out key competitors' product portfolio, conduct research & benchmarking studies to develop a deep understanding of their market position.
  • Clearly convey product plans, updates, and significant achievements to external partners and internal stakeholders. Serve as a liaison between teams with and without technical expertise.
  • Use customer insights and data analytics to create well-informed choices. 
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and pricing.
  • Joint visits to converters & end users along with sales & segment teams on project basis for new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Marcom team to develop a Commercial Messaging package including Collaterals, Selling Tools, Product Services Guide, Standardized Product Data Sheets and Launch Pack for local products & ensure alignment with regional guidelines.
  • Develop new suppliers or new products with existing suppliers to ensure products are introduced to the market of greatest value.
  • Provide training, consultation and support to customers, sales and quality consultants in product technology.
  • Summarize and conclude the product introduction plan and manage constructive conclusions with the team.
  • Gain preliminary understanding of regulatory/compliance requirements related to product and market applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Marketing or related disciplines.
  • 8 years of business experience in product portfolio management. 
  • Experience in Packaging/Chemicals/Ink/Foils/Die cutting/Labels/Digital Printing/Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience in product development and commercialization processes. Ability to champion new business ventures.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with financial acumen.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship building skills.
