The Zurn Elkay Product Management Internship supporting the Hadrian/World Dryer business unit, offers a great opportunity for exposure in a hands-on learning environment. You will have the opportunity to develop a variety of technical, business, and leadership skills during the assignment.

The Zurn Elkay Product Management Internship supporting the Hadrian/World Dryer business unit, offers a great opportunity for exposure in a hands-on learning environment. You will have the opportunity to develop a variety of technical, business, and leadership skills during the assignment.

The responsibilities the intern will complete include assisting the Product Management Team throughout Product Life Cycle Management Process to help the team have a better understanding of our competition and analyze gaps in product offering and price. This individual would also play a major role in supporting some of our QTM projects from Product Management perspective and would be actively involved in the planning and coordination of our Summer of Giving philanthropic events.

As a part of the intern program, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the following:

  • Networking Events – Zurn Elkay hosts multiple networking opportunities in the Summer that give you exposure to other interns, the leadership team, and executive leaders.

  • Coaching and Mentoring – You will have a structured on boarding process to introduce you to Zurn Elkay's corporate culture and provide you with regular feedback.

  • Real Work Experience – Our internship process does not include getting coffee for your boss or running copies. We will provide you with a real opportunity to run reports, share your analysis, and improve our processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes within the washroom industry. Analyze data to identify opportunities and potential gaps.

  • Assist in the design and development of products and services.

  • Collaborate with cross-funtional teams such as engineering, marketing and sales.

  • Help manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to finish. Monitor and analyze product performance, gather feedback, and propose improvements.

  • Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including specifications, user guides, and training materials. Ensure that all stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate product updates.

  • Analyze partition market - identify new products to offer on this product line.

  • Gain exposure to Smart Sheets as a tool for tracking projects.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Currently attending school for a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Management/Marketing, or Business Administration
  • Must have completed course work relating to design
  • Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer
  • Efficient and detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
